By way of apology for my lack of posts while I finish my manuscript (August 30 deadline whooshing towards me!), I offer the latest salvo in the Nature vs. Nurture battle.

This article could end up as a source of reference in thousands of research papers for students in feminist or sociology courses as “evidence” that children can be socially programmed to met specific behavioral goals. No mention of David Reimer.

There are almost seven billion people living on the earth today. Yet every single person has unique fingerprints and DNA signatures. What is the evolutionary purpose for this? Some may argue it is a divine message that each person is special and some may argue that nature, above all things, highly values variation and individuality.

Individuality triumphs over socialization and genetics.

I'm looking forward to your book, but in response to your link: What about testosterone & estrogen and other hormones that are stronger in most men than most women and vice versa? They may not make us chose clothing, but isn't there some good science about how our different chemistry make us think differently?
